Away With Rum. I played "Rum by Gum" on the Chad Mitchell Trio’s LP "Mighty Day On Campus" in 1961. The origin is difficult to determine. It dates back to England in the 1890s and was possibly a music hall song, says Roger McGuinn in The Folk Den. (listen)
