| 1. | 8/14/2008 6:45:00 AM | used to like..that is. |
| 2. | 8/14/2008 8:57:00 AM | It's a convenient place to go / meet - especially if you don't know the area you're visiting |
| 3. | 8/14/2008 9:38:00 AM | Starbucks used to be a convenient place for a business meeting and having a cup of coffee was part of that. |
| 4. | 8/14/2008 10:05:00 AM | 5 years ago, I would have answered "ambiance" to this question. But nowadays, the ambiance has dried up, but has been replaced by convenience (there are so many of them, it is an easy reference location to tell someone you'll meet them at, even if you don't buy anything to drink anymore). |
| 5. | 8/14/2008 10:10:00 AM | 5 years or so ago I would have checked the Customer Service box above. Not so, today. |
| 6. | 8/14/2008 10:25:00 AM | the only think starbucks has is 1. convenience (it's everywhere!) and the employees ... the coffee is terrible but the cold drinks are SOOO GOOD! |
| 7. | 8/14/2008 10:49:00 AM | A wonderful place to go if I don't want to drink my coffee alone, and if I want to go somewhere to read or do work. |
| 8. | 8/14/2008 11:10:00 AM | Often eat at Starbucks but take Coke from 7-11 |
| 9. | 8/14/2008 11:36:00 AM | I feel comfortable at Starbucks |
| 10. | 8/14/2008 11:44:00 AM | Better than deli coffee, if more expensive. |
| 11. | 8/14/2008 11:47:00 AM | New Pikes Roast is much better coffee flavor to me. I travel quite a bit internationally and Starbucks is everywhere and pretty predictable in execution. A bit of home away from home! Good prep areas set up to prepare coffee yourself - cream, SnL, cinnamon, etc. Food in international locations is generally much better than in the U.S. |
| 12. | 8/14/2008 12:01:00 PM | For a time I was a "regular" at a store near where my daughter had weekly lessons. The staff got to know me and really made an effort on things like refils, etc. |
| 13. | 8/14/2008 12:20:00 PM | The people in the one I visit most often are especially nice. Folks in some of the other locations are cranky, so I quit going. |
| 14. | 8/14/2008 12:21:00 PM | Consistency. You always get what you order |
| 15. | 8/14/2008 12:26:00 PM | the consistency! you can walk into a Starbucks anywhere in the world and get the same stuff you can get at home. |
| 16. | 8/14/2008 12:35:00 PM | Ambiance is nice. Tazo teas are good too. |
| 17. | 8/14/2008 12:44:00 PM | I still do like the fact that you can go into Starbucks and order almost any drink and they will make it for you. Also, the people in our local Starbucks took the time to get to know me by name and would always call out a greeting when I came in! |
| 18. | 8/14/2008 12:46:00 PM | Their variety of different options for drinks. They offer soy milk while others such as Dunkin Donuts do not offer this option which is a necessity for me. |
| 19. | 8/14/2008 12:52:00 PM | LOVE that store managers will sell me large bottles of syrup when they have enough inventory, for making steamers for my kids. This is currently the only thing that is driving me into the store monthly. |
| 20. | 8/14/2008 12:53:00 PM | I spent a lot of time in college studying at Starbucks... even if I never purchased anything. |
| 21. | 8/14/2008 12:55:00 PM | Quality of drink product but no longer quality of experience. I'm a tea drinker and their tea is better than the corner coffee shop. |
| 22. | 8/14/2008 12:55:00 PM | They are inovative on nothing. |
| 23. | 8/14/2008 1:09:00 PM | Good place to check email and do some quick work between appointments |
| 24. | 8/14/2008 1:14:00 PM | Again the staff makes all the difference in the world. |
| 25. | 8/14/2008 1:17:00 PM | Food choices are still terrible.
Music is a real benefit |
| 26. | 8/14/2008 1:21:00 PM | have not visited for many years |
| 27. | 8/14/2008 1:37:00 PM | The best thing about Starbucks or any chain for that matter is the consistency. It's nice to be able to go in and order the one thing I like and know that it will come out just as I expect it to... |
| 28. | 8/14/2008 1:40:00 PM | selling cds is brilliant.
like that they'll make a 1/2 black ice tea, 1/2 herbal for me.
Good place for job interviews out of the office |
| 29. | 8/14/2008 1:45:00 PM | Not the best coffe ever, but consistently good. |
| 30. | 8/14/2008 1:45:00 PM | The communal bathroom system they provide in NYC |
| 31. | 8/14/2008 1:58:00 PM | They're generally comfortable. The Wi-Fi is a godsend. |
| 32. | 8/14/2008 2:00:00 PM | There is a Starbucks in my office building and the coffee is still better than the other choices available - although now that the building cafeteria has Dunkin Donuts coffee, I'm tempted to get that more oftern |
| 33. | 8/14/2008 2:14:00 PM | I typically go when I am absolutely frustrated with drinking the drek at work and want a decent cup of coffee. I used to believe Starbucks was the best, but I have found Intelligensia and Metropolis to be significantly better. I used to buy Starbucks for home, but not any more. I am able to rationalize buying these more expensive brews for home now. |
| 34. | 8/14/2008 2:17:00 PM | They have mastered the art of contrived imaging - especially with some of their cooperative ventures with eco-friendly organizations. |
| 35. | 8/14/2008 2:22:00 PM | Only use when the only source, as in some Airports. |
| 36. | 8/14/2008 2:27:00 PM | The coffee is consistent. |
| 37. | 8/14/2008 2:32:00 PM | I only drink their coffee, not the specialty drinks. but I also buy their beans for home. |
| 38. | 8/14/2008 2:33:00 PM | rest rooms |
| 39. | 8/14/2008 2:38:00 PM | I bought into fiest and formost, the euro-feel of the cafe |
| 40. | 8/14/2008 2:43:00 PM | Somewhere to meet and sit |
| 41. | 8/14/2008 2:48:00 PM | convenience only in that they are ubiquitous. seems like you're never very far from the next Starbucks |
| 42. | 8/14/2008 2:58:00 PM | It took the enduring concept of the neighborhood coffee shop, homogenized it, de-personalized it, made it artificial (grande, venti, etc.), and presumed that one community's tastes were identical to every community's. |
| 43. | 8/14/2008 2:59:00 PM | Starbucks has GREAT customer service!!!! |
| 44. | 8/14/2008 3:28:00 PM | Only go in airports or if I'm in an unknown area and can't find a local spot |
| 45. | 8/14/2008 3:32:00 PM | predictably decent product |
| 46. | 8/14/2008 3:33:00 PM | their breakfast egg sandwiches are an awesome value- high quality ingredients and priced in-line with McD. My kids prefer them. |
| 47. | 8/14/2008 3:43:00 PM | have not really "experienced" a Starbucks; I purchase an occasional frappucino at the grocery store, or get a quick coffee at an airport or other place where Starbucks is the only option |
| 48. | 8/14/2008 3:44:00 PM | I'll admit that their employees are generally nice and that Stabucks has a lot of locations, which makes them convenient |
| 49. | 8/14/2008 3:59:00 PM | The coffee tastes like burnt rubber (with a smell to match) but the caramel apple cider is awesome when you can get it. |
| 50. | 8/14/2008 4:02:00 PM | Opportunity to customize my drink. And standards. You know when you go to one Starbucks that your specialty coffee will be the same at another Starbucks. |
| 51. | 8/14/2008 4:09:00 PM | I like the "gift" items, especially travel coffee 'mugs'; like the hot chocolate in winter; never get the coffee (too strong). |
| 52. | 8/14/2008 5:04:00 PM | Their food is some of the best at airports. |
| 53. | 8/14/2008 5:17:00 PM | I like the consistency of the product from location to location. |
| 54. | 8/14/2008 5:28:00 PM | like the availability now of sugar-free drinks & add ins |
| 55. | 8/14/2008 5:39:00 PM | flexibility to define your own drink
coffee mugs (when they go on sale) |
| 56. | 8/14/2008 6:07:00 PM | ANd of course the tea |
| 57. | 8/14/2008 6:51:00 PM | Music |
| 58. | 8/14/2008 7:13:00 PM | It is reliable |
| 59. | 8/14/2008 8:00:00 PM | They killed most other options for a latte! |
| 60. | 8/14/2008 8:03:00 PM | Seating! |
| 61. | 8/14/2008 8:56:00 PM | Good coffee fast in convenient locations |
| 62. | 8/14/2008 9:27:00 PM | not anymore |
| 63. | 8/14/2008 10:34:00 PM | consistency |
| 64. | 8/14/2008 11:50:00 PM | good place for business meetings. i work from home, so the area stabucks are my offices |
| 65. | 8/15/2008 1:44:00 AM | if the food and the coffee matched the cafe, it would be wonderufllllll |
| 66. | 8/15/2008 1:53:00 AM | some patrons prefer TEA -- |
| 67. | 8/15/2008 3:02:00 AM | consistency |
| 68. | 8/15/2008 2:39:00 PM | The atmosphere doesn't feel as unique/fun. Maybe it's because I notice the same seating and decor at all 3 Starbucks by my home.
And the food offering is embarassing and not particularly healthy. |
| 69. | 8/15/2008 8:43:00 PM | accessible public bathrooms |
| 70. | 8/16/2008 11:42:00 AM | everything in there is vile |
| 71. | 8/16/2008 12:23:00 PM | just liked the smell, didn't care much for the coffee after I bought it, plus I felt buyers remorse because I felt I had to pay to much for the damn thing! |
| 72. | 8/16/2008 3:47:00 PM | consistency |
| 73. | 8/16/2008 9:18:00 PM | price is a little high |
| 74. | 8/17/2008 5:30:00 PM | I drink tea and they actually get the water hot enough which no one else does |
| 75. | 8/18/2008 2:34:00 PM | used to love the specialty drinks, but its so inconsistent these days. |
| 76. | 8/18/2008 3:25:00 PM | Sense of community/camaraderie |
| 77. | 8/18/2008 3:50:00 PM | The experience - others have tried it but they still deliver, for the most part. |
| 78. | 8/18/2008 8:16:00 PM | clean, mainstream acceptablilty, good place to meet a client, you know what to expect, mainstream |
